My Professional Journey

My path has taken me from sales support in a tech startup, through managing communications, liaison, and operations in a ship-owning office, to writing, and finally to building Chennaigaga® as my entrepreneurial venture.

Each stage has added depth to my skills and equipped me to:

  • Hone my creative thinking in concept and design as well as in brand content and business operations
  • Collaborate with the iconic CHENNAI SUPER KINGS in not only helming their FIRST OFFICIAL CSK SUPERSTORE, but also serving as their trusted Official Licensee Partner
  • Build strong customer engagement strategies rooted in empathy, attentiveness, and creating memorable experiences
  • Develop deep insights into customer expectations, behaviour, and delight
  • Continuously refine my writing skills through brand communications, blogs, social media posts, product descriptions, email marketing, and brand stories
  • Work creatively while navigating challenging constraints
  • Engage with employees with a focus on boosting personal morale and enhancing team building, skills that continue to shape the way I approach customer experience and people engagement
  • Translate learnings from my varied roles and a lifelong exposure to people across cultures and backgrounds, into a serving mindset — one that places the brand, its people, and its customers at the heart of every endeavour, beginning with the brand’s vision and ending with customer delight.

Chennaigaga® was the first to bring out ‘regular’ Chennai-themed souvenirs like t-shirts, mugs and magnets, etc., and were also the first:

  • To launch Tamil-themed merchandise
  • To offer Music and Dance-themed souvenirs celebrating Bharathanatyam as well as Kuthu dance, and Carnatic music, as well as Folk and Light music
  • To make Chennai the first Indian city with a dedicated souvenir brand
  • To brand ‘the Chennaiite
  • To become the first official superstore of the Chennai Super Kings
